Is anyone looking to buy some recording gear, something that can do a decent number of channels and is portable.
What I have
Powerbook G4 (2 power supplys) 15" 1.33 ghz, 1 gig of ram, 80 gig hd
Motu 828
adat LX (this is just used as a analog to lightpipe converter)
Rack
Snakes
If
you need a mess of pre's I also have an extra console I would throw
into the deal that is in a flight case. Its a old tascam desk 20
channels.
This rig will record 16 channels simultaneously, without any extra drives.
The computer goes for about $700 it does have a funky optical drive, a replacement is $70. I will let the computer go for $600
Motu 828 perfect working order, these things usually go for between $200 and $250
Adat LX, these typicaly go four $175 - $200 range
ata 8 space rack $50
The tascam mixer is 20 channels, 4 buses with direct outs on each channel. $400 ish
I will sell the computer on its own for $600
I will sell the computer with the recording package minus the mixer $1050
I will sell the entire package for $1400
Keeping
in mind you also get a couple of snakes, all of the cables to
interconnect all the units, and the computer magically has logic 8 pro
on it. This could be used or if you want something easier you can use
garageband. Oh yeah if you act now you get a multitrack of the MOD,
Madball show
This
is a great little rig for anyone who wants to record some stuff, either
their bands stuff or demo'ing stuff. It sounds good, and has always
worked pretty decently for me. If you want I also have a black face
adat I can throw in instead of the LX, that would give you balanced
inputs instead of the rca's the lx has. But I wont move on the price
for the change out and the LX is worth more money. Oh yeah the computer
is running 10.5.2 right now, with logic pro 8. I have used the motu
setup in 10.4 and 10.5 it works great together.

I might be interested in partial trades also, a jailbroke iPhone or gear are always on the list of rad things in my life.
