Does anyone know what happened to him? I must have missed something, but he's not on 93x anymore.

Huh.  Looks like he's gone; no mention of him on their website.  That's radio; he probably got a job in a better market and is happy as hell to get out of MN.  Or maybe he took that job opening at MPR.

Not really a huge fan of the station, but whatever.

Confirmed. From the news "In Brief" section on fmQB.com (a radio industry-insider site, from the looks of it):

Remy Maxwell exits the afternoon gig at Active Rock KXXR (93X)/Minneapolis.

That's all you get, though.

I'm guessing he'll go back out to L.A to all his friends. If i remember correctly, that is where 93x got him from to begin with.

First Loud & Local is gone, andn ow Remy Maxwell, who has held THE primetime spot, the M-F drive home slot for YEARS, has now "left" the station. That DJ gig is *the* one to have.

Anyone else a little worried or see a trend forming here?

I'll wager that some other even larger changes are coming to 93X. Mark my words on this one.

You mean like they'll quit playing "Far Behind"?

Good song, but yeah....enough is enough. I suspect larger changes than that though.

Good song.  Bad band.

I can't remember, but were there any "trends" like this back before 93X became The Edge without notice?

Just like Tawn Mastery as well...one day she was gone.  I too agree with Ron on this one...changes coming in a big way with 93X.

I sure hope that will be a big change in the right direction.  I know it won't happen but it's OK to wish it would.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing as Ron.  (WOW!!!)

Smells like format change to me.  I think it's about time.  93X is really behind.

Sure it's not your machine?  I'm posting 5 minutes after you, and it's up...

Next thing you know, they'll be playing "It's the end of the world as we know it..." for 4 days straight before officially changing their call letters to KXNU-  93NuMetalRox

This just in: high turnover rates are the nature of the beast in the commercial radio business.

Shocking, I know. Indifferent [:|]

I hate the turn over rates.  Of course I don't really listen to 93X  much either.

Strange I heard that too. But I also heard they planned to jostle it up a bit by throwing in Martika bootleg download segments.
