You know, after watching that again, I gotta say: not only is the overall sound just so absolutely horrid, and lacking any tone at all, but OMFG is that the sloppiest playing I have EVER SEEN. You would think that someone playing bass that long would have maybe gotten a lesson somewhere along the lines on like, say, simple mechanics and technique, or maybe even just a simple floating thumb technique that... awww, nevermind, if thats your bass god, stick with it. Still trying to figure out what makes that more enjoyable than Erlend Caspersen just f'ing around... and if I were to post a bass solo, well I may have gone straight to a good one, like Victor or Pattitucci.

I've always dug both his electric and upright playing. The man has serious chops but always plays very tastefully.
