From KFAN:

Jason Tyner, recently promoted to the big team by the Cleveland Indians, says he would like to exact some revenge on the team that dumped him. "I thought I had earned my stripes [in Minnesota]," he said. "I had a tough role. You'd go a week without playing, but I thought I did my job. I guess they didn't think about that when they made the decision. I'd like to get a shot at them. I know that."

What he should have said is...

"I guess they remembered that players like me are a dime a dozen, and they'd be better off bringing up a young guy, instead of keeping my 31 year old dirtass around.

Wait...what's that you say? I'm being designated for assignment already? You just called me up May 11th!!

Oh well, I'll just have to get the Twins back by having a good game against their Triple A affiliate, Rochester I guess."

It's true - Cleveland called him up 5/11, and demoted his ass on 5/16 already. Ha!

Buffalo Bisons' hat then.

Let the record show that I'd take Jason Tyner's "dime a dozen" talent over Mike Lam(e)b's lack thereof any day of the week.

I remember when Gardy used to put Tyner in at DH.  That always pissed me off.  Nice work, Gardy, put in the guy with zero career HRs to drive runs in.

Correct me if I'm wrong... but Tyner never hit into 3 double-plays in 3 at bats during his career as a Twin, did he?

Didn't think so.

I'd also like to re-open membership to my "Can Crain" Special Interest Group.

I sure as hell hope you're already in a similar group for Rincon because Crain has about 50 times more upside than ex-juicer Juan.

That goes without saying, Jer.  One doesn't take the time to say "Ashley Simpson can't sing" anymore do they?

I say trade Rincon and Crain for a decent left-hander that can fit in the starting rotation.  We can't count on Reyes for every hard-hitting lefty in the league.

Here here.  I guess I still have hope that Crain can return to professional development post-injury and become a serviceable setup man especially with Neshek being gone.  I couldn't unload Rincon quick enough, though.

The bullpen has been ugly this year save Nathan.

Yeah, you totally can lump Lamb in with the Castillos, Cirillos, and Boones of the world. No disputing that!

Tyner's constant Dick Vermeil face annoyed the crap out of me, though. I don't miss that at all.

Who is going to give up anything for those two turds?

I hope Perkins does well this evening.  I'll be attending the game.

I questioned that too.

He was a damn good 2nd Baseman.  And still is by all NY Mets fan accounts.

[edit]Also, the Tigers have more left-handers than they can handle.  And considering that Crain tends to have his one decent game of the year against Detroit each season... they could bite.[/edit]

Perhaps, but there is television available in Detroit.  They would easily be able to find out that he sucks goat nuts.

Also, in division trading....prolly not gonna happen.  Or I should say, in division fleecing is prolly not gonna happen.  Getting anyone noteworthy for Rincon and Crain would be fleecing at this point.

I lumped in Castillo cuz he was a mid-grade free agent signing (at best) that ended up really not doing much for the squad. Like him or not, he didn't do much with the Twins. Damn good fielder, though.

EDIT: Ok. Maybe I should have put Tony Batista there instead. That's a lil' more appropriate.

That reminds me - at least our squad doesn't have Eric Gagne at $10m this year. Cool

um negative i hate turnblow and always have.......

yeah we got a $10 closer that has blown 6 saves pretty sweet huh? i guess the simple fact that the owner is atleast willing to spend money to attempt to get talent is impressive. better than fuckface selig.

besides i was simply making a refrence that if you think rincon or crain are bad look at turnbow he is terrible and make more than both of them combined.
