I remember someone here helped Newman's yard at some point awhile back. I may need help with mine, and am looking for approx dollar figures/est. completion time.
Mike aka Spoontoad on here is the guy that did Newman's yard. He does good work, but I don't have his number.
I was just about to come on here and post the same question. I have MAJOR drainage issues in my yard that require professional intervention.

I'm currently not doing lawn / landscape right now unless it was on a weekend, and / or schedued in advanced. At minimum, it would be 3 to 4 weeks before I would be able to do anything, but that would also depend on what type of work is needed. The main reason is because of my other job.
I can tell you that the price has gone up. I just went to get a couple small loads of dirt and a few pieces of sod for my own yard, and the price has more than doubled from what my cost has been the last 3 years.
Sixstring - what kind of drainage issues are you having?
Mexicutioner - are you in need of new sod install? or some patch work done?
And for those interested, I also did Stuper Dave's new lawn last spring as well if anyone has seen his.
Can you do something about my dog killing the grass in my back yard, I'm this close to wood chipping the damn thing.

Wood chip a small area and teach your dog to piss there.

Is that what you did with the dog in your avatar? Sweet outfit, by the way.
The only trick I taught that dog involved peanut butter and viagra.
...and it was the dog that got Viagra and Goots loves peanut butter.
(Thanks for the advice by the way)
Toddles FTW! I might have a guy for the drainage issues, I see a bobcat in your yard in the future... I believe sod, as well as most U.S. agriculture has gone the way of corn, so that we can drive our E85 SUV's without spending so much, and who cares about rainforest deforestation as a result of poor gov't planning? That, as well as other "crops", are and will continue to become more and more expensive as a result of this country's failure to think ahead. My mom works for Schwann's and she says its gonna get way worse before it gets better...

The front of my house faces East. I have three adjoining neighbors in my back yard. The neighbor to my South is about 3 feet lower than I am and the retaining wall between us is crumbling (ownership unknown). There is a fence along that wall that is falling, so both a new wall and fence need to be put in. The neighbor to my West is about 12 feet higher than my yard. There is a good retaining wall there, but the yard generally slopes East towards my house. The neighbor to my North is about 5 feet higher than my yard, and there is no retaining wall there, so his yard slopes directly into my house with about a 2 foot wide flat area between my house and were the slope stars. To make things worse, my house is L shaped and the elbow of the L is between the West and Northern neighbors. So that means both of their yards drain right into the joint of my house.
Other complications: I live in a clay basin. I have a deck near the joint of my house which would probably need to be lifted to create drainage. A retaining wall will need to be made against my Northerly nieghbor's yard. The good news is that my front yard easily drains out into the street so there is a place to direct the flow to.

My sister drives a bread truck/sells bread for a living. Independent contractor selling bread to grocery stores. Price of wheat + price of gas = she aint making much money anymore. I feel badly for people who are independent delivery drivers - they can't get discounted fuel because they don't buy enough (bulk fuel discounts are given based on DOT #s), but they have to spend a ton of money on fuel because it's the nature of their business. I personally in my own wallet haven't really been affected by the increase in fuel/food prices. Yet.

Me too. The foundation of my condo AND the detached garage is eroded away. Me = not on the hook for it. Hooray!
