those who don't know me, I'm Chris Mara.
I've been a (full time) freelance rock engineer for over 10 years, and
recently opened my own studio geared specifically for the independent artist.

Having
my own place has been great, and I'm looking at many things with a fresh
perspective. One thing I want to
do with my studio is to start giving some things back to the people that helped
me get into music in the first place.
So
here's the deal:
Send
me an email at cym@mindspring.com requesting an application form to record one
song across one day at my studio- the only thing I ask is that you give a
charitable donation to a high school music program of my choice. (the size of the donation is up to you)
This is my own little "save the music" program. The application is simple and short-
mainly to have it on file to make sure that your band is complete and able to
record, and to cut down on multiple applicants.
I
plan to give away one free song recording per month, and I have posted this
same post in 5 different cities. (All bands going into the same drawing for the
free song each month)
This
way, together we can help schools continue to introduce kids to music each
month!
Looking
forward to hearing from anyone interested, I'm trying to squeeze in a May
drawing, so hurry!
I know many of you are thinking "Why the hell would I go to Nashville for ONE SONG?" I'm going to be in MN for June and July recording a few projects, plus many MN bands tour through Nashvegas on a regular basis...so I thought I'd leave it up to you guys instead of leaving you out of all the fun.
