your daily dose of absolute stupidity:

we are giving arms to everyone in Iraq, from Saddam's former supporters to Shiite militias.

now the iraqi government is cracking down on militias and requiring them to disarm.

(cue the record screeching to a halt)

Apparently the Iraqi government is totally missing the old fashioned american gun lobby talking point that violence will be reduced if everybody who hates each other is packing. Then if somebody starts shooting, every honest hardworking free citizen can stop him with their own heat. It seems certain that the only way to assure there won't be chaos as soon as the next president attempts to begin troop withdrawal is to make sure every man, woman and child in Iraq is well armed. I mean, Bush invaded the place to bring the Iraqi's Democracy, not Democrats. They're doing it wrong.

the hits keep coming...

our government planned for a 12-18 month post-war occupation, with nobody in charge of executing it.  and of course, Rumsfeld tried to silence the truth by buying people and denying it.  it just doesn't get any more corrupt than this administration. Nixon was a sissy!
