It's all BS...that is why this forum exists...while the washed up statement may be a bit of a generalization It is true what I say. You all wish bigger things would come your way, and when they happen to other people you make effort to shoot them down,  and there is a reason all the posts on this site are typically by the same 20 or 30 people and hence the reason I spend little time concerning myself with this.

Well thanks for summing me up guy I've never met.

Your opinion on it all being b.s. is fine. We obviously aren't having the conversation(s) that you want to be involved in. Easy solution: use the sign out option

Again your entire post is broad brush strokes. There are people on here that will vent about what band is doing what and If it so happens that there band isn't at the same place it isn't always spurned from jealousy or "player hatin' " It's mostly good natured, satirical, ribbing & antogonism. There are also people that play music for the art and the joy Surprise (cue Captain Ron)

You can chose to play along or spend your down time at work in other ways.

I'm just tired of Scensters Slamming eachother and putting eachother down...it is with eachother and supporting eachother that the scene will thrive.

While opinions are important, they can be expressed without making derogatory statements. They can be expressed in different ways. That is all.

It's really funny, because several years back people accused the regulars of this board of kissing everyone's ass.

I think that building a stronger scene does involve telling people that you don't think their band is very good.  Does it need to be mean?  Not really, but you cannot interpret delivery in text.  Couple that with typical internet aggressiveness and it's a receipe for drama.

Immitation is the best form of flatery.

When I first heard about this site I was told "That site consists of the cassanatra ex align circle jerk who cant stop talking each other up, and then the other half is full of angry metal head..."

and after that discussion about "swordfighing" and now this I guess he was not far off his mark, LOLStick out tongue

I dare anyone to show me all the casanatra/all the way rider self-effacing/circle jerking posts. I'm not saying it hasn't happened, but seriously all the time? How about a post once in awhile?  That's more accurate.

Anyone saying this is the case, is merely jealous of our massive success! Stick out tongue

I promote our shows on this site and there are people on here who like us, and who aren't afraid to say it.  There are even people who hang out on this site that have gone as far to even review us!  (gasp!) Wow, what a novelty, using the site for music related activites.

    Luv,

    Lance

    P.S.

GO TO ALL THE WAY RIDER's CD RELEASE TONIGHT!!!!!

I don't know..I'd say there are twice as many posts about Lance Vein's shorn balls and what he had for lunch than there are regarding the greatness of CASANATRA or ATWR:)

Yeah. Because the music industry is a big fluffy pajama party where we all sit around in a field of flowers and make everyone feel fuzzy and warm about each other and our 'art'. Welcome to reality. The scene will thrive when the bands up the ante, work harder on their music, their live show, and their business as a whole.. Not from giving each other high fives and hugs.

If you're looking for love, peace, and unity.. Join a hippie commune.

Re: Has anyone seen Far From Falling Live?

Hey everyone, I'm in Far From Falling and we suck.  Come see for yourself.

May 31st @ Trocaderos (with "Absent i" returning to the scene after a year off)

June 28th @ The Rock w/ Fair To Midland (we plan on clearing out the room just like the last 2 times we played with them)

And lets just clear the record.. we really are room clearing horrible.  Here are some examples:

played with Bobaflex, cleared the room

played with Fair To Midland twice, cleared the room both times

played with Black Light Burns, cleared that room only to have it fill back in and cleared by... Black Light Burns

played with Vince Neil of Motley Crue, cleared all but 1 drunken 42 year old dude with a 14 inch mullet...  he thought we we're Vince Neil & band however...

played with Quietdrive & Dropping Daylight a while back.. don't really remember but it seems logical that we cleared that shit too (even the sound guy, that one was bad)

So for a good room clearing experience, come see FFF.  Jaime, you know what I'm talkin about Wink

Re: Has anyone seen Far From Falling Live?

I hope you'd never do that to Joel mex, speaking of.. I still want to buy Joel's old bass drum case.  T'was sitting at Twin Town the last time I saw it... they told me it wasn't even in the computer on inventory so I'd have to ask him personally.

The bass drum of Far From Falling is counting on this now.. how the F are we going to clear rooms without it?!?
