Osborne 5 and Fender J

I've decided to make some room around here so I'm putting my beloved Lake Placid Blue JOBO 5 and my sweetheart Butterscotch Blonde Fender Jazz up for sale.  Hardshell cases for both.  I can provide photos upon request...

I would love to see a couple musicians in this community put them to good use. Please contact me if there is any interest!

I'm quite racist when it comes to fender instruments. 

The J is an American one from around 2002.  It also has 62 reissue pickups in it (I feel like they break up a bit earlier and offer a bit more snarl and growl when a player digs in a bit...which I love)  Maple neck, solid black guard.  The Dunlop strap locks go with it...

If I knew how to put pictures on here, I'd post them.  I'm happy to email them to anyone that asks.

Correct me if I'm wrong, Patrick.  Both are beautiful basses.  Somebody should buy these today.

You neglected to mention that they both have maple fretboards, too. Damn you righties!

I should disclose that if anyone would prefer the original stock pickups for the J bass, Patrick generously left them in my care a year or two ago. I still have them and they haven't been installed in anything, so they're available for the asking to the purchaser of the J (or, of course, to you, Patrick).

Methinks you misunderstand me. I would never impugn the Holy Maple; rosewood is for chumps (and us lefties who have to live with what we can get our paws on). I was simply lamenting that I'd probably be interested in either/or of these fine instruments if only they weren't strung downside up.

My apologies my good sir.  Perhaps ordering a Warmoth lefty body to go with the neck?

 

You know that reverse headstock lends itself to drop tunings rather nicely.

I like the looks of maple better, but honestly I don't buy into the "vast" tonal differences.  I say that's minimal at best.

An action shot even.  Patrick has great taste in basses.  I'm actually gaga over all three.  I'd also like to add that Patrick takes better care of his stuff than almost anyone I've met.  You can buy with confidence.
