Selling this cuz not because it sucks, but I recently felt the need to upgrade my 5.1, now that I have the greatest TV I have ever owned. It's been an electronic revolution in this house this first quarter of 2008 so I'm not singling this one out by any means.
This thing sounds pretty damn good and near as I can tell, there's no issues with it. I used it until I upgraded. It's replacement is the later cousin (same brand) of this unit with the same all inclusiveness with the 5.1 & DVD changer, so that means I do genuinely like the product.
The short story:

5.1 Dolby surround & 5.1 Dolby Pro Logic II which gives you 5.1 from any 2 channel (stereo) source. I like that feature for sports telecasts especially.
AM/FM radio of course
35watts per channel (four speakers), 110w center channel speaker, & 140w subwoofer
Plays DVD-Audio discs, which are like HD versions of CDs. You do see these in stores, it's not a worthless feature
Easy to memorize and intuitive remote with the coolest feature I've ever had - quick replay. (and it's even not on my upgraded unit, unfortunately!) Hit that button and it automatically jumps back on DVDs like five or so seconds real quick - real handy a lotta times, and you don't have to fart around with reversing too far back.
CDs sound fuckin' tits on this thing too. Rich bass, nice amounts of treble, fills up the room nicely, you name it. Even running my phonograph thru it (with a preamp of course, it's an old record player) sounded really warm and well balanced.
Check out the review on Amazon here. This isn't the best product ever invented of course, but it's pretty damn cool, and a good way to start getting your 5.1 on. Plus it's nice having all this shit in one unit.
The only cons I can think of on it are that there's no fancy pants digital outputs/inputs. But most people don't even run HD with HDMI or opticals yet so it prolly wouldn't matter.
I've seen a broken one on ebay that doesn't even play DVDs for $100, and there's one on Amazon for sale for $250. Other online retailers have it well over $200. I'll let mine go for $100.
