What I think happened is the last couple days of backlash for Testament caused negotiations to happen thus UFA ended up on the Helmet show.

But we can all be thankful that voicing our opinion got them off the Testament show, whew!

That's all I'll say on this thread.  It has already veered from being a promo thread too much into the griping threads again.  We can keep that on the 'Whose on Crack' thread if you all want.  I just wanted you guys to know that- fuck no, all of the complaining didn't do shit.  It wasn't a victory to be won or anything.

I'd like to point out that Helmet will think UFA is ridculous and an extremely poor choice for opener.  They will say something to their booking agent.  This will only reflect poorly on you and your outfit for which I have a healthy respect.  Not a big deal, but no one wants marks in the negative column when unneccesary.  Put UFA on Mushroomhead and take the advice of the Helmet and Testament fans.  Someone was either drinking too much or not enough when these UFA snafus took place.

Also, I have no problem with UFA, not my thing, but who cares?  They simply don't fit.

 Nah!  I'm bitching for the most part.  There was something kind of annoying about having to constantly bump my shows up over Powerman 5000 and Saliva shows that were like 6 months out.  But whatever...

 Coop should totally post his 13th Step album cover right about now.

Like my original theory stated, in order to draw attention to Helmet and Testament they put UFA on the bill, but once they think they've reached the appropriate amount of publicity they pull them.

I think they should take this a step further and hold their National acts hostage. 

 Bring in a Testament and say, "UNLESS WE RECEIVE THE PURCHASE OF 100 PRESALE TICKETS BY 10PM TOMORROW, WE WILL BE FORCED TO PUT UFA ON THE BILL.  DON'T MAKE US DO IT, WE NEED 100 TICKETS SOLD BY 10 PM TOMORROW OR THIS SHOW GETS IT!!!!"
