    MLB openers on HD?

I am king of the world right now - I finally got a new HD cable box and upgraded my cable package to include my hi-def love so I can experience the true glory that a brand new 50" 1080p plasma can offer for choice sporting events. Now I know ESPN and ESPN2 have their own HD channels, so chances are good that the opener will be in HD.

But I wanna know about the Twins and if they'll be broadcast in HD on the opener. Is there a good way to find HD listings, or do I have to wait till the day's closer to find that out? I have an FSN north HD channel, but they're off the air most of the time and do not have many HD broadcasts.

Man...I can't wait for week one of the NFL season. I'm probably going to cry with joy.

I am pretty sure you will have plenty of HD MLB games to see... Unlike those of us that like Hockey (I think I saw MAYBE 5 games the whole season that were broadcast in HD). I know virtually every football game I saw last year was in glorious HD.

I was all geeked cuz I saw a Wild game will be on FSN HD soon....however, I'm pretty sure that's the game (Edmonton) I'll be seeing IN PERSON! D'oh! Haha, obviously always excited to see a game at the X in person...but dammit, I wanted to watch it in HD!

Yep. One of the few Wild games that was broadcast in HD was the one game I went and saw at the Excel (Wild vs Vancouver).

The Brewers have 150 games in HD this year on FSN and I read that the Twinkies have 140 or so games.

Slider: "but dammit, I wanted to watch it in HD!"

I'll take your tickets and watch the game for you so you can watch it in HD.   I don't want you to deny yourself of this dream.

I've heard HD is way better (yes, I'm in the dark ages) but I didnt know it was even better than being there in person! Now I'm gonna have to buy one for the garage.

Nothing is the same as being there in person, it was more of a situation of it being my first available opportunity to do so and it figures that it was coincidentally a game I went to.

Bollox to us getting the WFTC feed of the Twins last night and not the ESPN2 feed! WFTC/FSN's HD is not very good, whereas ESPN's is killer.

HD or not it was a hell of a game last night, no?

How about that Carlos Gomez?  And Joe Nathan catching Tori swinging?  Awesome.

    Re: MLB openers on HD?

Make no mistake, I was howling with delight most of that game. Actually, I was more pumped up by Neshek's 8th inning than Nathan getting Torii. Nathan did it perfectly though - Torii has always been seduced by bad pitches, so Nathan gave him three pitches out of the zone and that was that.

I loved that near assist Cuddy had when throwing to first trying to get Kotchman, I think it was. God, that would have been a hot play had it worked!

<--also geeked out in the 8th.

As for the 9th, someone should tell Morneau that he shouldn't hold up 4 fingers when waiting for a pick-off throw from Joe Nathan.  Ask for the fast ball, not the slider.  Stick out tongue

It isnt Toriis fault that Pohlad is a cheap mother.......

As for my Brewers I was happy up until Gagne's melt down in the 9th....what a fucking joke they paid 10 million for that......does he not understand that the Cubs are the biggest rivals? Damn Canadian druggies.

yeah fukudome looks like a brewers killer. he lit them up in spring as well.

i hate how every year the cub always have the brewers for one more extra series at wrigley than at miller park.....completely gay and unfair but it all comes down to $$$$ I swear.

But hey, at least your owner had $10 million to pay the guy, unlike Pohlad. Right? Wink
