    Drinks [D] Happy Hour II

Not necessarily Happy Hour, but we'll give this another go.

    7PM Friday March 7th... suggest a time.

"The utter collapse of this Profoundly criminal Bush conspiracy will come none too soon for people like me... The massive plundering of the U.S. Treasury and all its resources has been almost on a scale that is criminally insane, and has literally destroyed the lives of millions of American people and American families. Exactly. You and me, sport — we are the ones who are going to suffer, and suffer massively.  This is going to be just like the Book of Revelation said it was going to be — the end of the world as we knew it."

I actually voted, but then realized that 7pm will probably be a bit too late for me to be able to make it.

Time really doesn't matter to me... what matters is turn-out.

Turnout is lookin' mighty fine already.  HELLO PEOPLE!!!!!!!!  The admins are giving you an opportunity to make this site what you WANT, and nobody responds?  I think what most want is something to bitch about.  Let's get together, and have a beer.  You can tell Gonzo exactly what would make this site better.  It shouldn't be too hard.

I really thought that more people were interested... I think if people want to get together, that is fine... but due to the lack of response it will not be an official MusicScene GT.

Just a note to all of the whiners out there:  Shut up... it would have been different if you had actually put up, but you didn't.  I just hope that you get out and vote in November when it really counts.  This is said in the most loving way.  Hmm

    Re: Happy Hour II

Yeah I thought that at the very least the people who complained on the thread about how musicscene could be improved, and those who voted positively on the awards show, would have wanted to attend this!

Some people are happy just to bitch about things, but if it changed for the better they'd have nothing left to complain about.  It just makes me very indifferent when thikind of thing happens.  What this means to me that what we are doing is good as the handfull of folks who actually say something agree... these folks actually see changes immediately.  Makes me laugh that these are pretty much the same folks who say we ignore them.  Confused

I'd still like to meet up... Club Underground works for me... it'd be good to see Mark over there.  I'll bring him some posters anyway, and I should have extras if anyone else would like one.  Caz?  LexTalionis? Topher?

Have you not seen how many people want the 'post-30 minute' edit function back!? Stick out tongue

    Club Underground would rule.

I just need to ask Topher if he'll be my escort for the evening.

Yeah, I'm up for it, and I'm pretty sure David's free too.  7pm would be a bit late for us, but certainly if it's around 5pm or so, we'd be able to make it!

Either works for me... I have an airport run for the studio at 10:30PM (then to Cannon Falls) so I probably won'y have a beverage.  They have eats at CU?

    Eats, yes.

I'd recommend - anything on the breakfast menu (b-fast served at all hours), the open-faced turkey sandwich, or the shrimp basket. Good burgers too. Awesome fries.

    Re: Happy Hour II

Can't make it, hence my lack of participation in the last two gatherings. Hard for me to get anywhere outside of St Paul before 6:30-7 unless I fancy sitting in traffic, and this Friday I've dinner plans after work. But I also don't view myself as a chronic bitcher about the site, either. As long as it works, I'm a happy poster.
