wow, so they are actually coming here this Gigantour.

May 9th @ The Myth w/ In Flames, Children of Bodom, Job For A Cowboy, and High On Fire.

should be interesting...

line up is sour... but I love me some Megadeth, and it will be nice to see Bodom again, wonder if the new album will be any good, or at least better than the last one I hope :/

i stopped caring about MEGADAVE a long time ago. however after the last 2 phenomonal records and their fantastic performance at the HEAVEN AND HELL show - i am once again a fan! as long as it isn't out of control expensive i'll be there.

so is it IN FLAMES again? as in actually having Jesper (the man who IS in flames) playing with them. the last time they were here i didn't even go as neither jesper nor bjorn were even playing. what the hell was that!?

Yes, it's actually In Flames, with all the guitarists present.  One was having a baby last time and the other quit (or damn near) as far as I know but rejoined.  But don't worry, they'll still play their new worthless shit.  They're dead to me.

Diddo baby!

Ill be there.  Talking my little brother, he loves him some Megadeth.  Children Of Bodom usually sounds pretty good, and depending on which In Flames shows up that night, should be a good time!

I know of two, but I'm the one actually buying em. My friend met this guy at Tats by Zapp in Stillwater who was trying to unload 2 Megadeth tickets at list price, and i jumped on it.

What a fucking close call. If that delightful bit of happenstance hadn't played out, i would've missed this show!

Megadeth sounded great, but after that one, I never really want to go to the Myth again....at least not when it's close to sold out.

I was intending to go see Opeth tonight, but the way that place packs people in is just stupid (It made me change my mind.....despite the fact that I love botht the headliners). The entire quarter of the mainfloor tward the patio exits, was so constipated while I was back there trying to get a drink (quite a while) before Megadeth, that people were getting smooshed and crazed. I saw some poor girl get dragged out of the mass of bodies over the bar, out cold.

[:'(] Waa.

No love for the myth from me. Some to the security guys were dicks, too. Lame.

I could NOT agree more.

You remember back when Somerset use to host all the big outdoor shows?  Remember that a lot of the staff were the locals and their kids, usually driving around on 4 wheelers?  THAT, is the image that came to mind when I was at the Myth.

It was like a large inbred family was running the place.  The drunk chain smoking Grandma and Dauighter in law working the tciket booth, the overzealous grand sons were running security and the bars and dad and grandpa were running around slapping 'em all up.

I had such a bad experience there that I have passed on going to tons of shows that I would otherwise have gone to because of the place.

Granted I'm also getting older and more selective on how I spend my very limited free time.  However, when I'm wieighing out wehter to go to a show, the Myth being the venue is enought to tip the scale away from going.

The show was great for me I opted for the center balcony right above the sound board, it was still pretty packed up there. The sound was great for Megadeth that was about it, however they didnt do a great job on mixing the other bands, for high on fire it was a reverb tank back there, when in flames was on the sound guy was reading while the board was clipping and they had the mids and treble just about off the guy just stood there.

The security at the myth was a joke, they pick on people, start problems that don`t exist and can`t even keep poor Dave from getting hit with Tee-shirts????

Security ruined the show for me, it was like watching a show with prision guards....not that i`ve been in prison but christ I almost got thrown out twice of just standing there watching the show......somebody threw a cup down they ran right to me the 39 year old thats not even drinking, I told them someone down the line threw it...I was told to shut up....my friend was getting some red bulls....then they started picking on the guy next to me, who i was talkin too.....again I said it came from down the line, the guard got pissed.

Its a bunch guys playing covert-ops with flashlights and radios thinking they know whats going on and somebody is going to pay guilty or innocent. If they would stay off the roids they would`nt be so fuckin mad all the time.

So anyway for the entire megadeth gig I had some gorrilla starting at me and pointing a flashlight at me watching me watch the show while cups of beer flew past the guard on the ground, people recording concert with camera right in front of him on the same level, people smoking dope all around him and it looked like a fight broke out. The covert ops-ss man wanted me and ignored everything else.

Don`t question the SS men and don`t stick up for yourself there they don`t like that. I`ll won`t go back for that very reason that and the sound was`nt the best in the state it really was`nt.

I also thought the politics at the soundboard would be a thing of the past too....but no.

The Myth sucks for a small venue....please go to first ave or the excel, Roy wilkins sounds better than the Myth....ok I`m mad again......

Megadeth was great, the rest of the bands looked and sounded like garage bands in compairson.

Roy Wilkins sounds better than Myth? Now there's something I've yet to validate. I've been to numerous shows at both venues, and that's an opinion that truly baffles me, quite frankly. In my experience Wilkins is far and away the shittiest room for acoustics in this market, so that surprises me you say Myth is worse. Some of the best sounding shows I've been to in the TC area were at Myth.

The staff at Myth doesn't impress me too much either. They've got some issues there.
