Well, just a clarification for those [i.e. Folkerts] who seem to think there's a flaw in anything I say, even if it's an opinion. The GM was a legitimate bipolar case, he was on medication. He, and several managers like him, chewed ass for the sake of chewing ass. It's what they thrived on. So, when everything is in order, they nit pick to the next little thing, like an untucked shirt which was caused 30 seconds ago, because you just about broke your back trying to lift a 36" TV above your head onto the top stock. And oh look, the TV is crooked - why didn't you laser line like SOP states? I just can't even fathom your insubordination!
Yeah, shit like that. It's attitude, pure and simple. That's why I told him off more than once. But, by doing that - we reached a common ground. That common ground, was hate. I hated him, and I got him to hate me. In the end this worked out, because he never wanted to deal with me, hence I never had to get my ass chewed about tying my shoe out on the floor. This GM couldn't tell you the first thing about your job. You could bring no question to him, as this is supposed to be the job of.... Who's your immediate supervisor again?
As a supervisor myself, there's 2 rules you must follow. Know the job, and how to do it. This goes for everyone beneath you, you must be able to do their job in a pinch. And, get shit done. If someone brings an issue to you - be damn sure you're capable of getting good, timely results. Either fix it, or teach them how to fix it if it's in their capabilities. This GM couldn't do either. No matter how simple the question, he'd pass it onto whoever walked by. So to respond to the argument, that it was MY severe hatred/aggrivated whatever.... No - my attitude was defensive.

Hey, now... cheer up. I wasn't saying that there's a "flaw" in what you said... I just thought that you and I might hold a different definition for "hate" that's all.
A lot of what you've described as hate is what I would consider anger spurred by annoyance. Whether that's me overanalyzing (which is pretty common) or just me not truly understanding... I don't know. I posted the questions for the sake of some clarification. I guess I just have a hard time understanding why someone would hold so much pride in their hatred and/or why someone would be so quick to label their own anger as hatred.
That said... it's obvious that I've been annoying you a bit lately (admittedly purposefully at times)... so how close are you to truly hating me?
So, to you, aggrivated anger and hatred are one in the same.
