As we mentioned last summer, Paris provides free Wi-Fi access from more than 260 public parks, gardens, and monuments. A beautiful idea, but those of us with real work to do need a table and a beer. The few times I've had to work out of a coffee shop, I ended the day with a misfiring aorta and a quivering GI tract from too much caffeine and too many jumbo cookies. Fortunately, the growing trend of WiFi-equipped bars promises to calm us down with alcohol, though you have to watch the drunk IMing...
