Joining the "Who can provide their citizens with the most free outdoor screenage contest", Minneapolis's Walker Art Center presents Monday movies through August 21st. This season's theme is screwball masters as the classic films of George Cukor, Preston Sturges and Howard Hawks are paired with mostly regional musical acts. Of particular note, in this humble critic's opinion, is Preston Sturges's The Lady Eve, in which one Henry Fonda is bamboozled by a hot-in-a-grade-school-teacher-way Barbara Stanywyck and, on August 21, The Philadelphia Story with Mr. Grant, Mr. Stewart and Lady K. Hepburn and a musical performance by the hottest band to come from Minnesota (after Dylan) Low.
