Musicscene dot ORG turns 10!
2006 will mark our 10th year of being online supporting the music community here in Minnesota, parts of Wisconsin, Iowa, and the Dakotas.  Over the past 10 years we have seen quite alot here in the Twin Cities... some of the positive.  ;)

When I had gotten out of the Marine Corps in 1993 and I began working at working at KVSC in early 1994.  I got to thinking that there needed to be an online music community.  So I started compiling a crude directory of radio stations, bands, nite clubs and festivals in raw HTML.  (I know, I know... the directory is in bad shape and needs updating.  If you would like to help, contact me.)

Here and there people would stumble across the site, but traffic really started to improve when Chrishawn came on board.  He wrote and developed a BBS style back end for the site from the ground up and was really what was needed.

From that point on we have been Minnesota's best, most active and largest music resource and community.

Maybe we should have a party?!!

Are you buying the beer? :) I'm sure that most musicsceners would be down with a party marking the 10 year anniversary. When and where is it?

Area 52 would be happy to host a party, complete with a rock show, if MusicScene is interested. It's not every day that MusicScene turns 10!

Wow. I smoked something REALLY good and Green with someone who called himself Topher, He was at the time so was I, guilty of living in fort wayne indiana where's there's not much to do but...oh yeah, what was the point again..? 10 years old! We really should have a party. I'll try and see if Topher can bring his Goodies, if I can find him. Shit, maybe he moved to the TWin Citities afterall... I'd be a lobsters ear cut off..whaa?? I can't hear you my hearings not too good... Short term memory loss.
